James and I thought it would be good to share what we’ve been doing via the video platforms that are available to us. We have had somethings hosted on Odysee but YouTube tends to be where more folks are accustomed to going and is more reliable with framerates.

We are homesteaders who have decided to pick up and move from Ohio to Tennessee. We've raised St. Croix hair sheep, Buff Orpington and Wyandotte chickens, Muscovy ducks, and Tamworth pigs. James rambles about the Continued Downsizing. He revisits the whys and hows and whats and also talks about the latest developments in terms of personal sales and the limits on those (which has been an ongoing thing in the news that could easily have slipped under peoples' radars).
A disembodied (visually) James rambles about Thanksgiving Day and goes for a bit of a camera-first walk up to the Ridge above the homestead base camp. Happy Thanksgiving to family and friends!
James rambles about the Dogs running off on him. Don't worry, they will be back. We have had a lot of rain and they have been cooped up longer than normal. Plus interesting smells in the mornings. Still, very annoying on the rare occasions they choose to go exploring ... UPDATE: They were back safe and sound about 5 minutes after this video finished uploading.
James rambles about getting Surprise Fiber installed. He talks briefly about the recent Rainfall and how much Water was collected, then launches into a short rant on what Off-Grid means in the context of Technology and the Modern World.
James rambles about Monday things and what the week brings. This is Thanksgiving week so there are opportunities to get some homestead work done coming up this weekend.
James rambles about Social Anxiety and Panic Attacks and decides it's Too Early for him to engage socially beyond what's already going on (which is really too much anyway). Not a whine; just over-reached and paying the price. Those of you who also have to deal with this will hopefully know what this means (every Life Journey being different and all that).
James rambles about Introspection, and in particular, thinking about how to start getting on top of Tasks with limited Time. As we come up to Winter, there's a bunch of things that need to be tackled and best not to leave them to the last minute -- some pondering on that included. Also, apologies for the "gap" in rambles -- couple of tough days and rambling was not on the radar.
James rambles about Learning New Skills. He talks about the loss of Generational Experience and where to Find and (maybe) how to Approach taking on new skills. As always, your mileage will vary. Also, there are no plans to bother brushing hair prior to these vids -- you get them as they are, raw and unexpurgated.
James rambles about Mental Health, talking about understanding it happens and how he tries to deal with it. Possibly leading into a more detailed discussion at a later stage. It can be an uncomfortable topic, but it is a thing that needs to be talked about more.
